MIKE RASCIO
THE WORLD’S GREATEST BOOTLEGGER! RIP
Single handedly made 45 group records available
from the late 60s to the late 70s..
The one on the left????

Stephen Johnson
With my dear friend, Val Shively, at a private screening
of a film about him, Recollections. Worked with him
in the early ‘70s and I quickly learned all about the record business.
Val is a one-of-a-kind, the poster child for “follow your passion.”
Visit his store in Upper Darby… but know what you’re looking for.
No browsing because there are literally millions of records there!

Chuck & I with Mike Hoffman
(My first retail customer when I opened my first store)
He was 12…
I sold him a McCoys Lp for $2..
All Lp’s in the store were $1 each
He said how come this one is $2?
My answer ..Cause you picked it out…
That transaction put him in the record business…
I should have gotten 10% of what he did
